The New York Genome Center (NYGC) has signed a 20-year lease for seven floors at 101 Avenue of the Americas in SoHo as the site of its headquarters. The 23-story, 425,000-square-foot Sixth Avenue property, called “101AOA”, is owned by Manhattan-based-developer Edward J. Minskoff Equities Inc. The genome center, founded in 2010, as an independent nonprofit organization that works in collaboration with academic medical centers, research universities and commercial organizations to advance biomedical research and clinical care.
Under a long-term service agreement, NYGC also will have a data processing co-location at 375 Pearl St., also known as the Verizon Building.
